This CV-580 aircraft is cn #2, a converted CV-340-31. It was built in January 1952 and delivered to United Airlines in September of that year. It was acquired by Frontier Airlines in August 1966 and converted to a CV-580 in December 1966. It was sold to Gem State Airlines in September 1979 and then to Aspen Airways in August 1984. In March 1991 it was sold to Renown Aviation and then in December of that year it was sold to Terry Cedar. In January 1992 it went to Honeywell International Inc. then in November of that year it went to Allied Signal. In 2000 it went back to Honeywell International Inc. In December 2010 Honeywell assigned a new title to the aircraft as a Weather Radar TCAS EGPWS test bed. In November 2018 a new airworthiness certificate was issued and a sale to a new owner, Noliner, was reported in November 2019.
