This CV-600 aircraft is cn #74, a converted CV-240-0. It was built in June 1948 and delivered to American Airlines that same month. It was acquired by Central Airlines in December 1960 and converted to a CV-600 in July 1966.. It was then acquired by Frontier Airlines in October 1967 through the merger with Central Airlines. It was retired and put in Storage in March 1969. It was sold to American Jet Industries in 1975 and then sold in March 1976 to Garsco, Inc. for lease to Wright Airlines. It was placed in Storage in Cleveland, Ohio later that year.
