This CV-600 aircraft is cn #118, a converted CV-240-0. It was built in November 1948 and delivered to American Airlines that same month. It was acquired by Central Airlines in February 1961 and converted to a CV-600 in August 1966. It was then acquired by Frontier Airlines in October 1967 through the merger with Central Airlines. It was retired in March 1969 and placed in storage. In February 1972 it was sold to Golden Pacific Airlines. In 1975 it was sold to American Jet Industries then in March 1976 it was sold to Garsco, Inc. and leased to Wright Airlines. It was retired and placed in storage in Cleveland, Ohio later in 1976.
