This CV-600 aircraft is cn #136, a converted CV-240-0. It was built in January 1949 and delivered to American Airlines in February 1949. It was acquired by Central Airlines in February 1961 and converted to a CV-600 in July 1966. It was then acquired by Frontier Airlines in October 1967 through the merger with Central Airlines. It was retired in March 1969 and placed in storage in Denver. In 1975 it was sold to American Jet Industries and then sold in 1976 to Garsco, Inc. for lease to Wright Airlines.
