This CV-600 aircraft is cn #164, a converted CV-240-26. It was built in September 1950 for Air Fleets, Inc. then delivered to American Airlines in October 1950. It was acquired by Central Airlines in November 1961 and converted to a CV-600 in March 1966. It was then acquired by Frontier Airlines in October 1967 through the merger with Central Airlines. In September 1968 it was leased to Trans Texas Airways. When it was returned to Frontier it was placed in storage in Denver in March 1969. In May 1972 it was sold to Golden Pacific Airlines and then to American Jet Industries in 1975. It was sold in May 1976 to Garsco, Inc. and leased to Wright Airlines.
