This CV-600 aircraft is cn #168, a converted CV-240-25. It was built in October 1950 for Air Fleets, Inc. and then delivered to Ethiopian Airlines in December 1950. It was acquired by Central Airlines in December 1964 and converted to a CV-600 in April 1966. It was then acquired by Frontier Airlines in October 1967 through the merger with Central Airlines. It was retired and placed in storage in March 1969. It was leased to Mandala-Seulewah Airlines and then sold to California Airmotive Corp. (American Jet Industries). In May 1977 it was sold Midwest Air Express Inc. and then in December of that year to Norman Millstein.
