This CV-600 aircraft is cn #178, a converted CV-240-23. It was built in September 1950 for Air Fleets, Inc. (the last CV-240 built) and delivered to Garuda Airlines in October. In October 1964 it was purchased by General Dynamics and converted to a CV-600 (the prototype conversion). It was acquired by Central Airlines in December 1965. It was then acquired by Frontier Airlines in October 1967 through the merger with Central Airlines. It was retired and placed in storage in Denver in March 1969. In December 1970 it was sold to Seulewah Air Service (later Mandala-Seulewah Airlines).
