This CV-600 aircraft is cn #173, a converted CV-240-23. It was built in August 1950 for Air Fleets, Inc. and delivered to Garuda Airlines in September. In October 1964 it was purchased by General Dynamics and converted to a CV-600. It was sold to Central Airlines in January 1966. It was then acquired by Frontier Airlines in October 1967 through the merger with Central Airlines. It was retired and placed in storage in Denver in March 1969. In October 1970 it was sold to Seulewah Air Service (later Mandala-Seulewah Airlines).
