DHC-6-100/N950SM
This DHC-6 aircraft is cn #90, a DHC-6-100. It was built in November 1967 and delivered to Miami Aviation Corporation in December 1967. That same month it was transferred to Skymark Airlines. In March 1969 Skymark merged with Aero Commuter and then in July 1969 the name was changed to Golden West Airlines. In October 1970 Frontier Airlines leased the aircraft until it was returned to Golden West in April 1974. The aircraft operated in a cargo configuration around California in the Frontier livery for a few years. In April 1983 the aircraft was acquired by Air Associates then leased to Mountain Air Cargo in Denver in March 1984. In February 1987 it was purchased by Mountain Air Cargo. In February 1991 the aircraft was leased to Umatilla Aviation Services in Umatilla, Florida. In 1995 it was leased to the Paradrop Club in Laurel, Delaware. Later that year it was returned to Umatilla Aviation Services. In November 1995 it was sold to First Security Bank of Utah. In early 1996 it was leased to Sydney Air Tours in Sydney, Australia. In January if was leased to Mobile Carpet Cleaning Factory. It continued the lease with Sydney Skydiving until withdrawn from service in 2005. It was used for spare parts until it was purchased in late 2009 by Blue Wing Airline in Paramaribo, Surinam. The aircraft had been rebuilt prior to delivery to Blue Wing. It was operated by CJ Aerospace Pty Ltd in NSW Australia in 2014 then was operated by Seair Pacific. It then operated on the Gold Coast of Australia in 2016 and in August 3027 was leased to Istlecote Pty Ltd. No further info is available.
