This DHC-6 aircraft is cn #110, a DHC-6-100. It was built in February 1968 and delivered to Miami Aviation Corporation in March 1968. It was acquired by Skymark Airlines in Sacramento, California later that month. In March 1969 Skymark was merged into Aero Commuter and in July of that year the airline was renamed Golden West Airlines. In February 1972 this aircraft was leased to Frontier Airlines and was returned to Golden West on an unknown date. In July 1978 the aircraft was repossessed by Bank of America. It was returned to Golden West in January 1982 and then acquired by Newair in New Haven Connecticut in April 1983. In February 1985 Newair was merged into Pilgrim Airlines. In February 1986 Pilgrim Airlines was merged into Business Express Airlines and the aircraft was stored in Groton, Connecticut. It was acquired by Rudo Aircraft Corporation and was still stored in Groton. It was acquired by Freefall Express in June 1990. This aircraft was involved in accidents in September 1991, April 1996 (with a fatality) and again in March 2001.
