This DHC-6 aircraft is cn #339, a DHC-6-300. It was built in April 1972 and delivered to Atlas Aviation in Resolute Bay, Northwest Territories in May 1972. It was acquired by Frontier Airlines in June 1978 and was withdrawn from service in November 1980. It was sold to Metro Airlines in Houston, Texas in June 1981. In November 1985 it was leased to Sunaire (Eastern Metro Express) and the name was changed to Sunaire Express in 1988. It was leased to Sunaire Express in St. Croix, U. S. Virgin Islands in November 1989 and was repossessed by MCC Aircraft Leasing in July 19994 and returned to them in December 1994. That same month it was purchased by Kenn Borek Air in Calgary, Alberta. In April 1996 it was leased to Bonaire Airways in the Dutch Antilles but not delivered. In May 1996 it was leased to Harbour Air in Vancouver, British Columbia then returned to Kenn Borek Air in November 1996. In December 1999 it was leased to Maldivian Air Taxi in Male, Maldive Islands and returned to Kenn Borek in May 2000. It was again leased to Maldivian Air Taxi in December 2000 and returned to Kenn Borek in October 2010. It was registered to Seabird Airlines in Istanbul, Turkey in August 2013. It was returned to Kenn Borek Ltd. in January 2015 and then leased to Seabourne Airlines in February 2015. It was returned to Kenn Borek in March 2017 and was last registered to Island Aviation Services in Male, Maldive Islands.
